Scheldesafari
Spotting seals on the Scheldt!
There are many seals in the Westerschelde! If you take a good look, you can see them swimming or, at low tide, you can see them lying on the sandbanks. Would you like to see the close-up, then join a Schelde safari! With the sturdy RIB (room for 8 persons max.), we sail towards the sandbanks that become visible at low tide. Dozens of seals can be seen lying there. Obviously we will not enter the sandbank and remain at appropriate distance, from where we will also have a perfect view!
Great experience
Joining the Scheldesafari is a great experience and adventure for the young and old. As a family activity, as a holiday activity or a company outing activity!
Under way not only will you enjoy the many seals to be seen, but also the panoramic views over the Westerschelde, the beautiful skies above your head, the wind in your hair and the large impressive ships sailing by.
Starting point
The journey and quest for the seal starts in the harbour of Hoedekenskerke, from where we will sail onto the Westerschelde. After about 40 minutes, you will be back in the harbour, where there is plenty of free parking for bikes and cars.
